Welcome to my poetry page. Here are a few of my past works plus a few I am writing specifically for this page. Please let me know what you think.

Amy

You are a dainty woman indeed, a human unsurpassed.
You nurture, and console, and listen to my rant.
What love stirred within me to you? I do not know. I could only look at you.
When I hug you, I feel your limbs thin but strong. Like steel they press upon me.
but my heart lacks, and no matter what, it can never be.
I look into your eyes and see not passion, but kinship,
and the depths of a place I will never go, never be admitted into.
I know that you will never allure me, you will never entice me,
that forever you will console and humor me.
And no matter that my greatest wish is to see your eyes towards me filled with hunger,
I know that it shall never be.

The flight of the stranger

What does the saying mean? "To see not strangers, but friends never met"?
Look upon the world, and see the people around you.
Their faces tell you that they are away, furthur than you could reach.
They hold not friendship but fear within them. They fear all,
only wanting to be somewhere else, even when they get there.
Could you greet them? Could you say "hello"?
I know in my heart that I could not.
To greet them would be to scare them.
No one says hello.
